Whistler

I’ve been coming up to Whistler to ride at the world’s best bike park for years, and it’s simply incredible. However, the novelty is wearing off a bit as I get older. I’m just less and less excited at the prospect of crashing at flat-out speeds or falling from the sky after a jump gone bad. But despite my dwindling interest, it’s still a pretty awesome place to ride for a couple days.

One of the best parts of Whistler is that you can head up to the Top Of The World lift and link that trail into some excellent stuff outside the park. It’s basically the bike version of ducking the ropes at the resort and heading into the backcountry.

After our first park day, Jen and I met up with Brenda and Chad, who just happened to be riding up there a the same time, and rode Top Of The World, Khyber Pass, Middle of Nowhere, Kashmir, Line Of Control, and BC’s Trail. I did a similar ride with Tony and crew a few years ago, and it’s every bit as good as I remember it.
