Drive East – Part 3

Back on the pavement after our side trip, Jen and I headed to Bentonville, Arkansas to get on the bikes for the first time in a long while. She had heard about this place from a few different friends, and it seemed worth the stop. This town has really made an effort to bring in people through biking, and they have done a great job. The trails are excellent, and there are a lot of them. They have everything from super chill single track to some interesting tech to some pretty real jumps.

Unfortunately for us, the few days we were there we found lots of rain and tons of wind. So, while we got to ride a bit, we didn’t really get to ride what we wanted. Either way, it was really nice to get back on the bikes.

After biking, we stopped at the Space and Rocket Museum in Huntsville, Alabama. Home of the nerd-famous “Space Camp” which I say with all respect. I totally would have done that as a kid if it was an option. This is the second time I’ve had the chance to stand under a Saturn V rocket and wonder how insane the Apollo astronauts must have been to climb on top of that thing and light it up.
