For the last few years, the crew has gotten together down in Indian Creek to have a Thanksgiving feast in the desert along with a few days of climbing world-class cracks. This year saw Rick complete his quest to climb 40 desert towers before turning 40, and for the final one the whole crew of eleven people and a toddler climbed South Six Shooter.
While far from the hardest of his towers, it may have been he most logistically complicated. The weather was great and the stoke was high for the whole crew, Tom and Ericka proved once again that having a kid has is not a precursor to quitting climbing, and Hunter spent his first trip to Indian Creek with a nasty case of overstoker—climbing everything he could get his hands on. And best of all, no one took an axe to the head this year, so that was nice.
