Canada – Part 2 – Dirt

The mountain biking on the west coast of Canada is simply amazing. Between the North Shore, Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton lies more world-class trails than most people could ride in a lifetime. During our second week, we rode lots of classics, a few new trails, and spent a couple days in the bike park. We got a bit of classic west-coast rain, and slippery root riding, but for the most part the weather continued to be excellent.

Best of all, we got to meet up with some of Jen’s fam and ride with good friends who we had not seen since the border closed. We got to take them in to deep water on the down-hill stuff, and they got to crush us on the climbs.

But, all good things must come to an end (But do they? Really?), and we eventually had to start the drive home. A recent tradition on our last few trips has been to stop off at Vashon Island and spend a day chilling with our good friends Anastasia, Steve, and Otto. Riding the ferry, chilling on the beach, and watching the sun set on the ocean was the perfect way to finish off a great two weeks.
