To be honest, we really didn’t want to leave Joshua Tree when we did. The weather was perfect, and we felt like we were finally getting a handle on the place. But, we also wanted to spend Christmas with friends, so we drove up to Red Rocks to hang out with Alex and Ceci.
We spent a couple days cragging in Calico, with a sick day between. I got to finish off a route that I had tried on the last trip, and Jen continued to get stronger and stronger on the sharp end of the rope.
From here we went North to swap out summer gear for winter gear. We’re not exactly sure where we are going or when we are going to be there, but the next couple months are definitely going to be colder than the last nine.
