For the first time since 2018, the hardest match in the country is back. Hard As Hell has always been my favorite match. The stages are extremely difficult, with winning times often cresting 200 seconds. This is not a match where perfection wins. Everybody makes huge mistakes, guns break, penalties add up, and you just keep on grinding because the clock is running and you have to keep shooting.
Brian Nelson brought the match back this year on a new range using the new PCSL rule set and a handful of extremely dedicated volunteers, and they did an incredible job. It wasn’t some watered-down version of the old match. It was damn hard, and I loved it.
After three days of dawn-to-dusk shooting, I took home the win in the Unlimited Division at the return of my favorite match. I can’t think of a better way to end the season.
