2021 High Desert Championship

The 2021 High Desert Championship is in the bag, and I had a blast. I shot pretty well and finished day one with a very slight lead. After starting off day two with another good stage, I completely imploded and made two of the biggest errors I’ve ever had in a match (and yes, there’s video). Honestly, I’m just happy to not have been DQd.

In the end Evan Tisler put down a solid performance and came away with the well-deserved win. I eeked out 2nd place just 0.45% ahead of Gregory Fiddes, who I’m positive would have beat me if he didn’t have to shoot in the howling wind on day one. It was a great race all around, and I can’t wait for the next one.
Once again Aaron Goodfellow and his crew put together an excellent match. The staff here are some of the nicest I’ve ever shot with, and I always look forward to seeing them when I come up here. The stages were big, complicated, and had some extremely difficult shooting. I loved it.
