2018 Hard As Hell Multigun

Always the bride’s maid. Never the bride.

Well, the last match of the year is officially in the books. After three days of giant stages and muddy conditions at JP Enterprises “Hard as Hell” Multigun, I managed to pull out a second place finish behind Tim Yackley, and I couldn’t be happier.

This match is like a 3-Gun family reunion. Not only was I on a great squad, but I couldn’t walk more than 50 yards in any direction without running into three people I wanted to catch up with.

Big shout out to the build crew and staff. These are some of the hardest working people you’ll find anywhere, and they all had smiles on their faces even after standing in pouring rain at the end of a 10 hour day. This kind of psyche from staff and competitors is why I love this sport so much.

Huge thanks to Mark Roth. Not only did he put one of his awesome XB3G receivers on the prize table for me to pick up (guess I gotta build another shotgun now), but he also shot Trooper Division and then RO’d stage 1 just to help out.

I also have a few specific people I want to recognize for going above and beyond at this match. Kisa Libby for hiking in two boxes of buckshot with her trooper load and giving them to me so I had enough rounds. Dakota Overland for talking some mad trash. Dustin Sanchez for making me laugh until I hurt by going around the wall and taking the river instead. DJ Petrou for saving me on his stage. Becky Enders Yackley for her hold-over on Sluggy Bear. And Bruce Davidson for giving me a hug at awards

And finally, thank you so much to my sponsors for supporting me this season. It means a lot to me that companies I respect very much see enough in me to let me represent them. I’m happy that I could go out on a high note.
